Professional Indemnity Lawyer

A leading insurance firm is seeking a Professional Indemnity Lawyer to join its market-leading Claims team, specializing in Professional and Financial Lines claims. This position is available in either the London or Manchester office and offers a unique opportunity to manage a diverse and challenging caseload, working closely with customers, internal partners, and external vendors.Role Overview:As a Professional Indemnity Lawyer, you will be responsible for investigating and managing claims, developing strategies, and setting reserves to achieve optimal outcomes. You will provide legal assistance to insured clients, negotiate settlements, and ensure that vendors deliver high-quality, cost-effective services. This role is ideal for a qualified legal professional with post-qualification experience who seeks an intellectually stimulating environment within a supportive and collaborative team.Key Responsibilities:Manage claims, conduct early investigations, and set reserves.Develop and implement strategies for claims resolution.Build strong relationships with clients, communicating coverage positions and strategies.Negotiate claim settlements and ensure optimal service delivery from vendors.Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including underwriters, risk management, and actuarial teams.Partner with Client Relationship and Underwriting teams to strengthen customer relationships.Qualifications:Legal Degree / LLB (or equivalent).Qualified Solicitor- 1-5 years PQEExperience in handling Financial Lines claims, particularly Solicitors' professional negligence.Strong technical expertise, advanced communication skills, and a collaborative approach.
