We are looking for a highly motivated Operations/Production Manager to join a market leading manufacturer in their respective field. An exciting opportunity for a skilled Operations/Production Manager to join a well-established company and Production team. As Operations/Production Manager, you will be tasked with the running and continuous improvement of the Production Department. You will be a strong man-manager with a comprehensive operations/production background within a manufacturing/production environment. This role will appeal to an autonomous individual with a comprehensive idea of how to run a successful Production team within a pressurised environment. This position will appeal to a strong manager looking for their next challenging role within a secure and stable company.
Role Description -
Oversee day-to-day production operations, ensuring all products meet strict quality and safety standards.
* Ensure full compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations across the facility, fostering a safety-first culture.
* Develop, implement, and monitor best practices in food safety, quality control, and hygiene standards in line with industry regulations and company policies.
* Collaborate with the General Manager to drive strategic initiatives focused on operational excellence, process improvement, and waste reduction.
* Take responsibility for supporting the technical team in maintaining the standards of the quality management system, ensuring full compliance with relevant industry standards, including BRC and other certifications.
* Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce downtime, and optimize costs.
* Develop and implement training programs to ensure staff are fully versed in HSE protocols and quality standards.
* Monitor production schedules and resource allocation to meet deadlines and production targets.
* Troubleshoot and resolve production issues to minimize impact on output and product quality.
* Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in production processes.
Qualifications/Experience -
Extensive experience in a manufacturing management role, ideally within the food production industry.
* Strong working knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations, with a proven track record of maintaining rigorous safety standards.
* Expertise in managing high-quality standards in production, including food safety, BRC, and hygiene practices.
* Proven ability to lead production teams, with strong problem-solving skills.
* In-depth understanding of production processes.
* Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to drive performance and promote a positive working environment.
