Technical Sales Engineer

Pertemps is seeking a dynamic and motivated Technical Sales Engineer to join their client's busy team in Ivybridge, Devon.  This is an exciting position, especially for someone with an engineering background - they're a brand leader that manufactures ATEX certified diesel engine Spark Arrestors, bespoke silencers and various pipework that is distributed Worldwide. As the Technical Sales Engineer, you will need to develop an extensive knowledge of our client’s products and be expected to deal with technical and sales enquiries via phone, email and occasionally face to face. The role involves preparing quotations, troubleshooting technical issues, sales order processing and providing excellent customer service. Job details of the Technical Sales Engineer: £27,000 - £30,000 depending on experience 38.5 hours per week: Monday – Thursday 7:30am-4pm & Friday – 7:30am – 3:30pm Office based only 23 days holiday per year + bank holidays which increases to 25 days holiday after 5 years’ service. Pension, Sick pay. Responsibilities of the Technical Sales Engineer: Handling technical and sales enquiries via the telephone and email in a prompt and efficient manner Build lasting relationships with their customers and suppliers Liaise with customers, relevant departments and any necessary third parties regarding product availability, delivery times and other relevant circumstances Attend trade shows as and when required Provide capacity for processing sales orders as demand dictates Provide both written and verbal quotations where necessary for our client's products Follow up leads and previous quotations Assist with marketing campaignsTo succeed in this role, you will need the following: Good interpersonal and negotiating skills Excellent time management and organisational skills Technical skills with a sales focus Previous experience of business-to-business sales and/or technical support Good I.T skills with experience in Microsoft software and ERP systems Preferably come from an engineering background  Benefits? 4 x salary death in service Healthcare plan If this sounds like you, please apply with your CV in word format todau.
