Our client is a global consultancy delivering design-and-build projects with clients in the water sector and beyond. They have a significant order book over the next 5 years having secured several long-term frameworks with different water authorities throughout the UK. You will be based in their Reading office on a flexible hybrid basis. Job Description As a Lead Design Engineer, you will be accountable for the delivery of design for a programme of wastewater treatment projects through detailed design to construction, commissioning, and handover. * Lead your team in the delivery of designs suitable for our construction teams to deliver working closely with your commercial and operational counterparts. * Provide direction to the team, including oversight of project controls, and ensuring compliance with quality, programme, and cost requirements. * Work closely with the client’s Engineers to deliver our target project portfolio and to ensure we remain a trusted partner. * Analyse project performance and identify risks that may impact project delivery. Experience required * Chartered or Incorporated Engineer. * Experience of leading and developing a design team. * Experience and knowledge of the Designer and Principal Designer duties under CDM 2015. * Ideally from a water treatment industry but other process design and build sectors will be considered.
