Role Overview:We are seeking an experienced Brand Manager with a solid foundation in classical marketing principles, including targeting, segmentation, and positioning, to lead the marketing efforts for Borough Broth, SpiceBox, and What on Earth*.This role requires a strategic thinker who is adept at applying the 4 P’s of marketing—product, price, place, and promotion—while driving customer-focused strategies that bring the voice of the customer into the heart of our business. You will play a pivotal role in aligning our brand strategies with consumer needs, ensuring our marketing resonates with both current and potential customers.As a champion for customer insights, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that customer feedback, preferences, and trends are woven into every aspect of our marketing. A passion for organic food and scratch cooking is essential. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, growing company and is excited to shape the future of our brands.Key Responsibilities:Customer-Centric Marketing: Be the voice of the customer in the business, ensuring all strategies reflect deep customer insights and address key needs and pain points.Brand Strategy Development: Craft and execute comprehensive brand strategies across all brands, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and our core values of organic food and scratch cooking.Targeting & Segmentation: Conduct thorough market research to understand target audiences, define customer segments, and ensure effective positioning that drives brand growth.Campaign Management: Plan and oversee multi-channel marketing campaigns (digital, email, paid media) that deliver measurable impact.Market Analysis: Stay informed of industry trends and competitor activity to proactively adapt marketing strategies, ensuring our brands maintain a competitive edge.Leadership & Team Development: Lead and develop the marketing team, including a Social Media Manager, Marketing Executive, and Content Creator, fostering a culture of creativity and customer focus.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, and operations teams to ensure that marketing efforts support business goals and customer satisfaction.Budget & Performance Management: Manage marketing budgets, report on campaign performance, and continuously optimise efforts for ROI.Product Launches: Lead the planning and execution of product launches, working across teams to ensure customer expectations are met and exceeded.Creativity & Innovation: We're looking for someone who brings original ideas to the table, not just following existing social media trends but pushing boundaries with fresh, innovative approaches. The ideal candidate will proactively shape and create strategies that set us apart, helping to grow our brands with unique and authentic marketing.Qualifications and Experience:5+ years of experience in brand or marketing management, ideally within the food or FMCG industry.Strong foundation in classical marketing principles, including targeting, segmentation, and the 4 P’s.Proven ability to champion the voice of the customer and integrate customer insights into actionable strategies.Passion for organic food, sustainability, and scratch cooking.Experience in rapidly scaling companies and a track record of building high-performing teams.Proficiency in digital marketing, content creation, and social media strategy.Performance focused and able to define clear, calculated strategies and KPIs.Commercial experience with a fluency in reporting ROI on campaign performance.Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
