POSITION OVERVIEW: Dialight has an immediate opening available for a Supply Chain and Logistics Manager. The Supply Chain and Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the company's overall supply chain and logistics strategy and operations to maximize efficiency and productivity. They play a crucial role in developing and maintaining good relationships with manufacturing plants, the 3PL and EMEA customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Planning: Develop and implement supply chain strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Design and implement logistics plans that align with business objectives.
Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure the right amount of stock is available to meet customer demands without excessive surplus. Implement inventory control procedures and monitor adherence.
Procurement: Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure the best possible pricing and terms. Source and onboard new suppliers and vendors as needed.
Logistics Coordination: Oversee the transportation of goods from Dialight manufacturing plants in Penang, Malaysia and Mexico to 3PL and from 3PL to customers as well as customers collections when the customer is on EXW terms. Coordinate and monitor logistics operations including warehousing, inventory, transportation, and supply chain processes and tracking system.
Performance Analysis: Analyze data from shipping and delivery processes to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement. Prepare reports on logistics performance metrics.
Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure that all supply chain and logistics operations comply with laws and regulations. Develop risk management programs to ensure continuity of supply in emergency scenarios.
Technology Utilization: Implement and manage supply chain management software and tools. Leverage technology to optimize supply chain processes and data analysis.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., APICS, CPIM, CSCP) is a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field. Proven experience in managing supply chain operations, including procurement, logistics, and inventory management.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in supply chain management software (e.g., INFOR, SAP, Oracle, or similar). Strong understanding of logistics and inventory management principles.
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze and interpret data to make strategic decisions. Experience with data analysis and performance/operation metrics.
Soft Skills: Excellent organizational and project management skills. Strong negotiation and communication skills. Leadership and team management abilities.
