With a focus on career growth, training, and a supportive environment, this is an opportunity you don't want to miss!Key Responsibilities:Technical Support: Provide advanced 2nd and 3rd line IT support, including troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving complex issues. Focus on finding the root cause and implementing permanent solutions.Platform Expertise: Work with Linux and Windows platforms, with a willingness to deepen knowledge in both. Manage and optimise public cloud environments, preferably Google Cloud Platform.Visualisation & Storage: Administer visualisation technologies and storage arrays.Patch Management & Backup: Manage patching processes using software like SCCM or Intune, and handle backup concepts and software.Scripting: Develop and maintain scripts using Shell and PowerShell for automation and efficiency.Security & Protection: Oversee endpoint protection and anti-virus management, preferably with SentinelOne.Incident Management: Use commercial Incident, Problem, and Change management tools Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of systems, procedures, and incident resolutions. Provide regular reports as needed.Business Continuity: Understand and apply principles of business continuity and disaster recovery, deploying solutions that ensure high availability of IT services. Experience:Demonstrable experience in 2nd or 3rd line IT support.Experience with Linux and/or Windows platforms.Familiarity with public cloud environments, preferably Google Cloud Platform.Experience with virtualisation technologies (VMware, VxRail, Nutanix).Experience with storage arrays (Dell Compellent, HPE Nimble).Experience with patch management software (Ivanti, SCCM/Intune).Knowledge of backup concepts and software.Experience with Dell and HP server hardware.Proficiency in Shell and PowerShell scripting.Endpoint protection and anti-virus management experience (SentinelOne).Experience with commercial incident, problem, and change management tools (BMC Remedy, Halo preferred).Note: A European passport is required for this role due to travel to UK and European sites.
