General Manager / Operations Manager
This is a role working very closely with the Managing Director to oversee the senior leadership team, increase productivity and manage day to day business demands.
The Responsibilities:
1. Operations Management:
- Oversee the daily operations of the business, including procurement, inventory management, logistics, and distribution.
- Ensure that the warehouse and supply chain run efficiently, maintaining optimal stock levels.
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
2. Sales and Business Development:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to expand the customer base and maximize revenue.
- Build and maintain relationships with key clients, suppliers, and industry stakeholders.
- Analyze market trends, competitors, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to drive targeted campaigns and promotions.
3. Financial Management:
- Manage the company s budget, financial planning, and profitability.
- Monitor KPIs, sales performance, and operational costs, ensuring the business meets its financial targets.
- Prepare financial reports and forecasts for upper management, making recommendations for improvement.
4. Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team across multiple departments, including sales, operations, and customer service.
- Set performance goals, conduct regular performance evaluations, and foster a culture of accountability and collaboration.
- Ensure effective communication between departments to meet operational and financial objectives.
5. Customer Relations and Service:
- Ensure exceptional customer service standards are maintained, addressing client concerns and ensuring satisfaction.
- Manage customer feedback, resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with the customer service team to improve service delivery and response times.
6. Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure the company complies with health and safety regulations, environmental standards, and industry-specific requirements.
- Manage risk through effective product management, ensuring that all supplies meet quality standards.
- Implement sustainable practices to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
Qualifications:
• Degree or equivalent in Business/Operations procedures
• Demonstrable skills in a distribution or warehouse environment
• Strong Financial acumen and budget control
• Team Leader / Management skills
• Ability to analyse data and market trends
• Strong problem-solving skills
The Package:
Excellent salary depending on experience 55- 65k
Excellent holidays 33 days including stats
