Minerals Planner Nationwide, UK 34,000 - 70,000 p/a A reputable nationwide Consultancy firm is looking for ambitious Minerals Planners to join the Planning and EIA Team. The role is based on a hybrid working model nominally based in their network of offices which include amongst other locations London, Manchester, Bristol, Cumbria, Edinburgh and West Yorkshire. As a team of experienced planning and landscape directors, landscape architects, chartered planners, graphics specialists, and practice managers, they are currently supporting a number of important environmentally focused planning projects and are a well-known and respected consultancy providing planning and landscape services across the UK, particularly in in the Minerals, Energy and Renewables sectors. Key Responsibilities Nurturing positive relationship with clients and key stakeholders, building relationships and delivering high quality project work. Providing support and as appropriate act as a Lead for major projects in the minerals sector and supporting other planning applications. Coordinating and managing multidisciplinary teams working on planning led EIA projects, including confidently discussing and resolving complex assessment issues. Supporting and where appropriate acting as Lead for the delivery of feasibility studies, planning applications, environmental reviews, and documentation for colleagues across the business. Leading and supporting the production of proposals and tenders, as well as practice promotion. Person Specification Full membership of RTPI, or working towards attaining this. Previous experience of working in a consultancy environment is advantageous. Degree or post graduate level qualified in a relevant discipline and, preferably qualified in Town Planning or a related environmental subject. An excellent knowledge of the planning process and minerals planning practice including the current methods, legislation, techniques and guidance which direct the services we provide. A good knowledge of managing projects, including a detailed understanding of financial management, program management and quality control.
