Maintenance Operative

We are a private Company and leading specialists in the niche market of Lock-up Garages primarily used for self-storage. Established over 40 years we now own 14,000 throughout the UK along with a Portfolio of Commercial and Residential Property. We are looking for a Maintenance Operative to join our team tomaintain and upkeep the garage sites in a designated area (Primarily Hertfordshire) to ensure that they are kept in safe, secure and in good condition. Accountabilities/Responsibilities To carry out a variety of planned and reactive maintenance tasks to include: - Maintaining grounds by Weeding/sweeping the vegetation - Routine Maintenance and repairs to Garage Doors, Locks, Gates & hinges, Roofs, and Guttering - Clearance of debris and waste from Compounds and Garages - Reporting of defects to the office - Erect and Maintain Signage (Advertising and instructional ie Fragile roofs etc) Requirements / Experience Required - Property Industry: (5 years +) - Building /Repairs/Maintenance (5years +) (Brickwork/Carpentry/Drainage/ Roof work whilst not essential would be advantageous) - Full Clean driving Licence + Ability to tow a trailer - DBS Check Required - Understanding of Health & Safety Regulations - Proficient with Microsoft Applications (outlook, word etc) Applicants should be enthusiastic, focused, trustworthy, dependable and flexible with a co-operative positive attitude.
