Technical Architect (Scala/AWS)

• 3 months + (P/T 2.5days pw)
• Remote working with monthly visit to Newcastle site
• Inside IR35

We are currently recruiting for a technical architect to work on a central government programme. The successful candidate will:

• Develop microservices using Scala with the Play Framework, deployed on a cloud-hosted (AWS) PaaS platform
• Design and create and architectural design documentation including sequence diagrams, and API Specifications Documents.
• Provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle.
• Be comfortable architecting microservices using Scala with the Play Framework, deployed on a cloud-hosted (AWS) PaaS platform
• Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship
• Collaborate with solution architects to ensure alignment with customers patterns and standards.
• Collaborate with Solution architects to ensure alignment with the customers Enterprise Solution Design.
• Support in creation on non-functional requirements
• Actively participate in the customers craft communities, sharing best practices and thought leadership.
