Our client, an established, award-winning, professional multi-disciplinary engineering practice with a passion for excellence, innovation, and environmental sustainability is currently looking to hire a Head of Department - Building Services (Mechanical). The successful candidate will be responsible for the proper technical and financial management of the business, its clients and employees, through the effective integration and management within the existing MEP building services engineering team.The Head of Department - Building Services will:Be responsible for the technical and financial management of the building services department through the effective integration and management of the existing MEP building services engineering team.Playing role as technical expert for MEP Engineering issues from team members, guiding Graduates, Project Engineers, Senior Engineers and Administration personnel, coordinating the use of all team workload and resource input.Ensure problem solving and innovation oversight across office(s) or teams.Prepare and manage fee quotations and scope of work by project.Create and pursue additional client opportunities.Undertake active modelling, management and teaching of engineering competence.The Head of Department - Building Services will have:Significant experience of ‘hands on’ design within a mechanical building services setting.Demonstrable understanding of building design project management and project delivery.Management, Coaching and mentorship skills with the ability motivate and develop small teams of engineers.Ability to work on their own initiative, as part of our dynamic team with a high attention to detail.If you are interested in this exciting opportunity, please apply online by submitting a copy of your CV and we will contact you shortly!
