The role We are seeking a talented and experienced Systems Integration Engineer for a 6-month Fixed-term or Day Rate contract to integrate our core business systems, including our Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) platform, IT Service Management (ITSM) tools and backup applications. This role will be pivotal in creating a unified and streamlined IT ecosystem, enhancing the efficiency of our operations and improving service delivery across the organisation. This project-based role is ideal for a technically skilled contractor who excels at systems integration and enjoys solving complex technical challenges. Key Responsibilities * Collaborate with various internal teams to gather requirements and understand business processes, translating these into effective integration solutions. * Build and maintain API connections, custom scripts, and automation workflows to enable the exchange of data between systems. * Integrate backup applications with other core systems to ensure data continuity and streamlined disaster recovery operations. * Identify and troubleshoot any technical issues that arise during the integration, working to resolve them quickly and efficiently. * Collaborate with end-users and stakeholders for User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate integrations before go-live. * Communicate progress, challenges, and outcomes to key stakeholders, providing regular updates and addressing any risks or changes in scope. * Create detailed documentation for all integration processes, including architecture diagrams, configuration details, and operational procedures. * Develop user guides and knowledge base articles to support internal teams in the ongoing use and maintenance of integrated systems. * Offer post-integration support for a defined period to ensure a smooth transition to BAU (Business-As-Usual) operations. Key Requirements * Proven experience in systems integration with a focus on RMM tools (e.g. N-Central, Ivanti) ITSM platforms (e.g. Fresh Service, Service Now), backup applications (e.g. Cove, Veeam), and monitoring products (e.g. N-Able, Solar Winds, PRTG). * Strong knowledge of API development, scripting, and automation (e.g., Power Shell, Python, or similar). * Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, security protocols, and system administration. * Demonstrated ability to manage complex integration projects, including planning, execution, and delivery within set timeframes. * Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. * Team management skills. * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
