Legal & Investment Manager

We are working with a leading investment manager seeking a highly experienced Head of Legal/GC to join their dynamic and growing team. The successful candidate will be at the forefront of shaping the legal and regulatory framework for the firm’s growing business, and will have a significant impact on its continued success. Lead and manage the legal function, providing strategic legal advice to senior management and stakeholders across the business. Oversee legal matters related to investments, funds, commercial law, corporate M&A and general corporate governance, ensuring all operations comply with relevant regulations (FCA, AIFMD, MiFID II, etc.). Work closely with compliance, risk, and operations teams to identify and mitigate legal risks. Provide leadership on regulatory matters, staying up-to-date with changes impacting the investment management sector. Manage external legal counsel as needed, balancing cost-efficiency with quality advice. Qualified solicitor with 10+ years PQE, ideally with a background in asset management or financial services. Experience advising senior stakeholders on complex legal matters and M&A transactions would be ideal but not a prerequisite Commercially astute, with the ability to provide practical and strategic legal advice.
