Work Arrangement: Flexible approach to onsite and remote working, typically 2-3 days a week on site blended approach

Salary: Up to £60,000 depending on experience

The Role:

Join the Land Ceptor team and help the British Army maximize the potential of its latest Ground-Based Air Defence capability while tailoring this advanced system for emerging export markets. You'll build on a world-class design, integrating new ideas, functionalities, and technologies to meet diverse customer needs.

As the Equipment Requirement Authority for weapon system electronics and processing equipment, you will oversee all aspects of lifecycle management, from addressing design queries to managing manufacturing delivery. Your role ensures the Land Ceptor team meets delivery objectives and supports the product throughout its service life.

In addition, as a vital member of the hardware team, you will manage product evolution, addressing obsolescence, enabling technology insertion, and optimizing designs for future export opportunities. Join us to make a significant impact on cutting-edge defense technology.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lifecycle Management: Oversee all aspects of lifecycle management for weapon system electronics and processing equipment, from initial design queries to manufacturing delivery, ensuring timely and efficient product support.
• Design Integration: Incorporate new ideas, functionalities, and technologies into the existing design to enhance product capabilities and meet evolving customer needs.
• Obsolescence Management: Identify and resolve obsolescence issues, ensuring the continued relevance and reliability of the product.
• Technology Insertion: Facilitate the integration of new technologies to keep the product at the forefront of defense capabilities.
• Export Optimization: Optimize the design and functionality of the system to meet the specific requirements of emerging export markets.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the hardware team and other stakeholders to ensure seamless product evolution and effective problem-solving.
• Delivery Objectives: Ensure the Land Ceptor team meets all delivery objectives and maintains high standards of product quality and performance throughout its service life.

What We’re Looking for From You:

• A highly motivated self-starter who can work both independently and as part of a team while managing the priorities of a number of varied tasks in the context of a bigger picture
• A proven track record in delivering and supporting complex hardware to cost and schedule
• Able to coordinate both internal design and manufacturing teams and external suppliers
• Experience in product optimization, industrialization, and obsolescence management would be beneficial
