Processing Engineering Manager

We are recruiting for a Process Engineering Manager to join group Operations at one of our key Bridgend clients. Based at the Bridgend site and WFH, you will be joining a highly collaborative global team of professionals, who are passionate about working with customers to understand their operational needs, whether that’s to produce a better product, improve their process, optimise their performance or increase production. As a Process Engineering Manager, you will work as part of the technical team to support the successful design, implementation, and operation of heat exchange equipment. You will be involved in projects in all corners of the globe and in applications ranging from the production of sugar to the development of next-generation solar-thermal electricity. You will be supported by an experienced and diverse team, have opportunities to mentor and develop junior staff, and be provided with pathways to develop your career and technical expertise. The majority of your time will be spent leading a team of engineers and developing process engineering deliverables; develop and stamp/seal the PFDs, HMBs, P&IDs, Process Control Narratives, equipment datasheets, hydraulic/pneumatic calculations, and heat transfer calculations; lead and participate in hazard analysis including: What-Ifs, HAZOPs and HAZIDs; support registration of pressure vessels and piping; supervise and validate process simulations for the design of new heat transfer equipment; support field commissioning activities and troubleshoot heat exchange equipment; support commissioning teams conducting equipment start-ups, as required; co-ordinate with other functional groups and project managers to manage workloads; mentor junior engineers and support their development. This role will require the following qualifications: Engineering degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent;15+ years of Process Engineering experience; deep knowledge of transport phenomena and thermodynamics; advanced knowledge of regulatory requirements for industry codes and standards internationally including ABSA, NFPA, ANSI, PED, and ASME; Chartered Engineer (IChemE) For further information on the specific core tasks and the business, please send through your details and CV.
