Interior Designer

This award-winning interior architecture and design studio creates luxury interiors for both the residential and commercial marketplace throughout the UK and abroad. They specialise in later living, healthcare and luxury residences with offices in both Newcastle and next year, London. With a steady growth in business, they are currently recruiting for an Interior Designer to take responsibility for projects technically and creatively. Working with contractors, project managers, clients and consultants you will be managing projects through all the RIBA stages including producing detailed design drawings and building detailed designs through to aspects of project management on site. You will be joining a company who have gained a number of prestigious accreditations and the chance to work with heritage buildings, on luxury projects within a team of over 20 people. Skills and Experience sought for the Interior Designer: Project and Site Management experience. Strong communication and presentation skills. A good understanding of the UK building regulations. Proficient use of AutoCAD to produce design documentation and technical drawings. Knowledge of SketchUp, Adobe, InDesign, Photoshop, MS Word and Excel. Production of concept presentations, sample boards, mood boards, rendered elevations and co-ordination of 3D visualizations. In return: A salary of between £40k and £45k with the possibility to work one or two days a week from home. Company contributes to NEST pension, 25 days hols plus bank holidays, travel expenses paid and flexible start / finish working hours.
