Prospero Teaching is currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join our client SEN setting in Calmore. If you have a passion for supporting young people with special educational needs, this could be the perfect role for you! The setting caters to pupils between the ages of 5-18 years old. The pupils have a range of needs including Social, Emotional and Behavioural difficulties as well as moderate learning difficulties and mental health difficulties. SEN experience is desired for this position. Contract Details Location - Calmore, Hampshire Position - 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant Contract or position Start date - ASAP Contract or position end date (if applicable) - Ongoing Contract type (temp/perm/temp to perm) - Temp to Perm Full time/part time - Full time Minimum rate of pay - £13.09 per hour Hours - Monday - Friday 08:30am - 15:30pmExperience, Training and Qualifications Previous Teaching Assistant experience is required, ideally within the SEN Sector, although this is not essential providing you have the right attitude and desire. Previous experience working with challenging behaviour would be advantageous A passion for working with children with SEMH. Pro Active in the classroom and a willingness to join in with class activities.
