Welder/Production Operative Location: Bedford Salary: £30,000 per annum Type: Full-Time/ Permanent Shift: 39 Hours; 7am - 4pm, Monday to Friday (12pm finish Friday) Our client, a well-established manufacturing company in Bedford, is seeking a skilled Fabricator with TIG welding experience to join their production team. The company specialises in working with stainless steel and prides itself on delivering high-quality products to meet customer demands. As a Fabricator/TIG Welder, you will play a key role in the production team, primarily focusing on TIG welding with stainless steel. Responsibilities: Performing TIG welding on stainless steel and aluminium with varying thicknesses (0.9mm to 5.0mm). Assisting in other manufacturing processes as required, with training provided. Conducting daily equipment checks to ensure safe and efficient operation. Adhering to workshop health and safety practices at all times. Maintaining a clean and tidy work area. Producing high-quality products that meet the company's standards and quality checks. Meeting production targets and deadlines to ensure customer demands are met. Requirements: Fabrication and TIG welding skills (essential). Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail. Ability to read technical drawings. Ability to meet deadlines and work efficiently in a production environment. A positive attitude toward maintaining a safe and organised workspace.
