Job Purpose
Reporting to the Head of Projects, the Project Engineer will be responsible for developing outstanding Project performance for both the organisation and its customers.
The role will include the execution and delivery of assigned projects from initial PO receipt through to final delivery, with a strong focus on Quality, Cost and Delivery. As Project Engineer you will be expected to take responsibility for overseeing all elements of a project from leading commercial meetings with customers and development of internal stakeholders through to overseeing the final delivery of products.
You will need to be able to develop sound working relationships across the business including, but not limited to, Commercial, Planning, Engineering and Quality.
Key Responsibilities
Hold contract reviews (standards, T & Cs regulations and assumptions) whilst engaging stakeholders.
Convey /communicate all aspects of change that may occur within the contract to the internal stakeholders.
Hold regular project review meetings
Lead on issues arising from other areas of the business and provide a solutions-based approach
Maintain strict adherence to agreed schedules whilst investigating and putting forward actions to counter any adverse variations.
Maintain communications and reporting lines.
Maintain a financial overview of all aspects of the project.
Capture all deviations from the agreed scope of work and facilitate costings.
Manage the submission of concessions/NCRS and facilitate actions from relevant stakeholders.
Any other duties as reasonably requested by your Line Manager or a member of the Senior Management team
Manage and control project documentation ensuring that it is correct when submitted for MRB collation
Skills & Experience
A Technical engineering background/Degree is essential as the role requires the ability to confidently present/ discuss technical issues / solutions to customers and stakeholders
Project Management experience and a proven track record in the execution of Engineering / manufacturing projects
A sound business acumen and an understanding of commercial principles, all underpinned by good analytical and numerate skills
Strong interpersonal and communications skills with demonstrable collaborative behaviour
High attention to detail
The ability to balance QCD across a project and to engage in a pragmatic way with customers and stakeholders
Have knowledge and experience of compliance with regulatory standards on health, safety and environmental standards
I.T. literate
Perform well against agreed timelines within a team environment
Confidence within a customer facing environment
