SEN 1-1 Teaching Assistant

Your new company Hays are working closely with a lovely primary school in central Warwick who are dedicated to providing an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all their students. They are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from October half-term, for the rest of the academic year. The role is Monday to Friday, 8.30-15.30. Your new role You will be working closely with a Year 1 pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The ideal candidate will have a patient and nurturing approach, helping the child understand their learning through repetition and a structured routine. Your responsibilities will include- Supporting the pupil in their daily learning activities Implementing tailored strategies to enhance understanding and engagement. Fostering a positive and encouraging learning environment. Collaborate with teachers and other staff to ensure the pupil's needs are met. Maintain clear communication with parents and caregivers. What you'll need to succeed Experience working with children with special educational needs. At least 40 days of reference experience working with children within the last 3 years. Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for supporting children. The ability to create a structured and engaging learning environment.
