We are currently seeking an experienced Fabrication Manager to join our skilled team, following the retirement of our long-serving manager. This is a prime opportunity for a seasoned professional or a supervisor aspiring to step into a fabrication management role and further their career. This position is based in our Glasgow office, with travel to client sites as required. About You The ideal candidate will have significant experience in fabrication and a proven ability to collaborate effectively within our existing team and organisational structure. A valid driving license is required for this role. Applicants with expertise in both stainless steel and carbon steel fabrication, particularly in the production and installation of walkways, structures, platforms, tanks, and vessels, are highly encouraged to apply. We offer comprehensive training on our systems and processes, tailored to the candidate’s level of experience. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with the Divisional Manager to oversee all aspects of fabrication projects large and small from conception to completion. Manage project inquiries, perform site visits, conduct client meetings, and prepare pricing for tender submissions. Supervise operations within our fabrication workshops and maintain a high standard of quality. Prepare and manage all associated documentation, including risk assessments, method statements, and project programs. Oversee tradesmen during fabrication and site installations, including subcontractor management. Execute all aspects of project management, including planning, problem-solving, and ensuring timely project completion. Focus on client retention by meeting budgets and timelines, ensuring high-quality installations that foster repeat business.
