Location: High Barnet, London, UK Start Date: Immediate Salary: Up to £95 per day This role is in a 2 form entry primary school in High Barnet nestled in a serene natural setting with excellent facilities. The SEN team is known for their unwavering support and dedication to ensuring that every child receives the tailored assistance they need to succeed. Position Overview:We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide vital support to a child in UKS2. This student is facing severe anxiety and SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) challenges, which have led to reluctance in attending school. We are looking for an individual who can help create a positive change in this student's educational journey. Responsibilities: Offer one-on-one support to the student, with a primary focus on reducing anxiety and addressing SEMH needs.Cultivate a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages the student's engagement.Implement effective strategies to motivate the student to participate in school activities.Collaborate closely with our experienced SEN team and teachers to develop personalized support plans.Regularly monitor and report on the student's progress to the SEN Coordinator.Build a strong rapport with the student, fostering their confidence and well-being.Create a safe and stimulating classroom atmosphere that facilitates learning. Qualifications: Previous experience working with students facing severe anxiety and SEMH challenges is highly valued.Possession of relevant teaching assistant qualifications or certifications.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Demonstrated empathy, patience, and a true passion for supporting students with SEN.Ability to adapt teaching methods to cater to individual needs.Dedication to promoting a positive and enriching learning experience.
