Job Title: Site & Production Manager Location: Grays, Essex - RM16 3HU Annual Salary: £60,000 Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday Shift Times: 08:00 - 17:00 Working Hours: 40 hours Contract: Permanent Manpower is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Site & Production Manager to join our client's new depot based in Essex where you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of fresh and used cooking oil stock, it's storage and its onward movement to our biofuel processing sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for all day-to-day management and operations at the site, ensuring the smooth running of all warehouses, production & logistical activities aswell as leading a team of both warehouse and driving staff to deliver excellent customer service to all clients. You will also act as contract manager for the Palmer & Klein processing activities on behalf of Lifecycle Oils and be the point of contact between the transport, compliance, and production teams at LCO and P&K. What you'll need to do: Monitor the production processes of P&K ensuring adherence to Lifecycle Oils processes and environmental standards. Escalate any issues as required Support Purchasing and Compliance Depts to ensure that we maintain accuracy of the mass balance, payments, and traceability of product. Manage and oversee all aspects of the micro site, including inbound and outbound goods, inventory management, staff management and sales generation. Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations, as well as with all company policies and procedures. Optimise site operations and maximise efficiency, productivity, and profitability. Supervise and mentor staff (Administration, Warehouse and Drivers), including training, performance management, and motivation. Manage and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders. Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the site, equipment, and vehicles. Prepare and submit reports to senior management on site operations, performance, and KPIs. Continuously monitor and evaluate site performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing appropriate corrective action. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: Experience in logistics or supply chain management, with specific experience of being site lead managing a team of Drivers Experience of working within a production processing environment (Required) Experience of managing compliance processes either in waste management or food manufacturing (Required) Full UK Driving Licence IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent Counterbalance / Reach FLT Licence Experience in managing operations (specifically Logistics) in a fast-paced environment. Proven track record of delivering high-quality customer service and meeting KPIs. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively. Analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Attention to detail and accuracy. Flexibility and adaptability.
