Food Service Assistant

Position: Catering Service Assistant Location: Daventry Hours: Monday to Friday, 11:00 – 15:00 Hourly Rate: £12.00 About the Role: An exciting opportunity has opened to join our client’s catering team in Kettering. We are looking for a Catering Service Assistant who is passionate about food and customer service. This is a Monday to Friday role, ideal for those seeking work-life balance while gaining experience in a dynamic environment. You will work alongside a friendly team, ensuring a great customer experience in the cafeteria or restaurant setting. Key Responsibilities: Customer Service: Serve customers in a polite, friendly, and efficient manner, ensuring all interactions are professional and positive. Team Collaboration: Work as part of a close-knit team, contributing to a smooth and efficient food service operation. Basic Food Preparation: Assist in simple food preparation tasks, helping the kitchen team when necessary to maintain the high standards expected. Maintaining Cleanliness: Ensure the kitchen, service areas, and restaurant are kept clean, tidy, and safe at all times, adhering to health and safety regulations. Cash Handling & Promotions: Operate the cashiering system efficiently and assist with vending services. Participate in and promote unit sales and special offers to enhance customer engagement. Our Ideal Candidate Will: Have excellent people skills, able to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues alike Be passionate about providing outstanding customer service and enjoy engaging with customers Work well as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and support to colleagues Maintain a positive "can-do" attitude and handle challenges with enthusiasm Requirements: Previous Experience: Experience in a similar catering or food service role is preferred but not essential as full training will be provided.
