Job descriptionJob Location: ThurrockJob Salary: £35k - £55k + Car + Benefits (5% pension match / healthcare / 26 days holiday + Bank Holidays)Job Title: Estimator / Project ManagerJob Type: Permanent South Ockendon based H W Wilson Limited, a long-established construction company / main contractor operating in and around the Essex and Kent areas, is looking to appoint an experienced Estimator / Project Manager on a full-time and permanent basis. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who is ambitious anddiligent to join our small team and we’re looking for a person that fits our company's culture and ethos who will provide excellent service standards and maintain high client satisfaction. H W Wilson handles contracts up to £2.5 million in value. You will be working closely with the Directors of the business and, working within a team, your key role will be compiling estimates for renovation, refurbishment and new build projects primarily in schools, hospitals and for local authority and commercial clients. Main Responsibilities / Duties include: Meeting clients on site to determine requirementsPreparing estimates Dealing with sub-contractor enquiriesMonitoring costs to ensure contract budgets are metPreparing contract valuations for interim application payments including variationsMonthly reporting of contract accounts to the DirectorsManaging projectsValue Engineering About the Candidate:Minimum of three years’ experience as an Estimator / Project Manager within the construction industryEnthusiastic and qualifiedAble to work across multiple trades.The ability to work under their own initiativeDisplays the qualities of a team playerGood time management, communication and interpersonal skillsConversant with JCT Contracts and Laxtons / Spons / Wessex pricing guidesAbility to adapt to varied tasksFull UK driving licenseFully conversant with Microsoft office programsA professional manner and smart appearance NOTICE TO THIRD PARTY AGENCIES:Please note that H W Wilson Limited does not accept unsolicited CVs from recruiters or employment agencies.
