Job description Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Cabinet Maker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for woodworking and a keen eye for detail, capable of crafting high-quality cabinets and furniture pieces. This role requires proficiency in various woodworking techniques and the ability to work with hand tools and machinery. The Cabinet Maker will be responsible for interpreting designs, selecting materials, and ensuring that all products meet our high standards of quality. Responsibilities - Interpret and understand technical drawings and specifications for cabinet construction. - Select appropriate materials for each project, ensuring quality and durability. - Use hand tools and machinery to cut, shape, and assemble wood components. - Perform joinery techniques to create strong and aesthetically pleasing joints. - Fabricate cabinets according to design specifications while maintaining precision. - Assemble finished products, ensuring all components fit together correctly. - Conduct quality checks throughout the production process to ensure standards are met. - Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations. - Collaborate with other team members on larger projects as needed. Qualifications - Proven experience as a Cabinet Maker or in a similar role within woodworking or carpentry. - Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery. - Strong skills in joinery techniques and cabinet assembly. - Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physical tasks associated with cabinet making. - Knowledge of painting techniques is advantageous for finishing touches on products. - Familiarity with masonry or electrical work is a plus but not essential. - Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. - Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
