Job Title:** Earthworks Engineer **Location:** London (Some nationwide travel required, with travel and lodgings provided) **Start Date:** Immediate **Duration:** Permanent **Day Rate:** £(Apply online only) per day (Negotiable based on experience) **Working Hours:** Monday to Friday, 07:30am to 5:30pm **Company Overview:** Our client, a specialist in the earthworks sector, is seeking a highly experienced **Earthworks Engineer** to join their team on a permanent basis. The role is based in London, with some work required at various sites nationwide. Travel and lodgings will be provided for work outside of London. **Key Responsibilities:** - Oversee and manage earthworks operations on-site, ensuring all work is completed on time and to specification. - Conduct **volumetric calculations** for cut and fill operations to ensure accuracy and efficiency. - Read, interpret, and work from **technical drawings** to guide the execution of earthworks. - Use **AutoCAD** to create, modify, and review technical designs as needed. - Monitor the quality of earthworks, ensuring compliance with safety standards and project specifications. - Collaborate with project teams to meet deadlines and project goals. - Solve on-site issues related to earthworks quickly and efficiently. - Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations at all times. - Conduct on-site surveys and manage the setting out of earthworks. **Candidate Requirements:** - **Minimum 5 years** of experience as an Earthworks Engineer on civil engineering or large-scale infrastructure projects. - Proficiency in **AutoCAD** for design and technical drawing interpretation. - Strong understanding of **volumetric calculations** for earthworks. - Excellent ability to read and apply **technical drawings** on-site. - Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to work closely with other site teams. - Knowledge of health and safety standards relevant to earthworks operations. - Willingness to travel nationwide, with travel and accommodation provided when required. **What We Offer:** - Competitive day rate of **£(Apply online only) per day** (negotiable based on experience). - Permanent role with the opportunity to work with a leading earthworks specialist. - Nationwide work with travel and lodging covered for projects outside of London. - A dynamic and collaborative work environment with a focus on personal and professional development. **How to Apply:** If you are an experienced Earthworks Engineer looking for a permanent role, please apply with your CV.
