Our client, an award-winning company within the engineering and manufacturing sector are currently seeking an experienced Health and Safety Advisor based in West Cumbria.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all Health and Safety meets the specified standards and requirements, ensuring the integrity and longevity of critical infrastructure in the engineering, manufacturing, renovation, and power industry sectors.
Key skills / attributes:
A wide understanding of the key elements required for the role of HSEQ Advisor.
Ability to work with minimum supervision reporting directly to the Regional HSEQ Manager.
To enforce a positive & compliant approach to Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Systems adhering to site procedures at all times.
NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction or NEBOSH General Certificate or NVQ/SVQ Level 5 in Occupational Safety and Health or Occupational Health and Safety Degree e.g. BSc (Hons) or MSc.
Qualified to Tech IOSH
Must have experience within the Heavy Industry sector, preferably in the Nuclear Industry.
Engineering, Construction background
Accomplished HSEQ professional
To positively support all team members on HSEQ policies and promote best practices.
Attend stakeholder & project meetings and confidently advise on all levels of HSEQPersonal Competencies:
Excellent organisation and communication skills are key to this role.
Be highly proactive, logical thinker, adaptable with a can-do attitude
Highly committed due to longevity of work
Would be able to achieve nuclear clearanceBenefits:
