My client is seeking a dedicated and skilled MEP Quantity Surveyor who:
Has Expertise: You have a strong background in MEP quantity surveying with a proven track record. Is Innovative: You bring fresh ideas and embrace new technologies to stay ahead in the industry. Thrives in a Team: You enjoy working in a collaborative and dynamic environment. Is Socially Engaged: You value a workplace that balances hard work with social activities. Your Role: As an MEP Quantity Surveyor, you’ll play a key role in our team, with responsibilities including:
Conducting feasibility studies and advising on procurement strategies and contract selection. Writing and undertaking procurement reports. Applying value management techniques at the outset of a project. Managing, estimating, and planning costs, including taking ownership of and presenting the final cost plan. Negotiating and agreeing on final accounts. Representing the firm to clients, stakeholders, and other consultants at all project stages. Handling contractual frameworks and standard forms of contract. Identifying and acting upon opportunities to enhance our cost management procedures, templates, and products. About You:
Previous experience in a cost consultancy practice is preferred but not essential. Demonstrates a strong background in MEP quantity surveying with a proven track record. Ideally, you are MRICS or working towards chartership. Essential experience with pre-contract services. Expertise in cost planning, budgeting, and estimating. Strong knowledge of contract law and contractual frameworks in construction. Proven ability to undertake and advise on Contract Administration. Understanding of value engineering and life cycle costing. Familiarity with industry best practices. Awareness of critical issues such as Sustainability, Social Value, and Carbon Reduction impacting the Public Sector. Benefits include:
