About the role A new opportunity has arisen for a full-time Senior Social Worker post in our Young Adult’s Team, for 37 hours a week. Our Young Adults Team is made up of Social Workers and Adult Support Co-ordinators, who work closely in a highly supportive environment, led by a team of 4 Senior Social workers and the Team Manager. Team members have a wealth of experience and knowledge to support ongoing professional development for newer team members. Our team benefit from carefully managed caseloads which reflect their experience and skill set. There continues to be a raft of opportunities for joint working with a range of other departments and provider services, which means that no two days are ever the same. There is always something new to learn Our Young Adults Team is a countywide team based at Scott House in Huntingdon. As well as offering a degree of remote working, the Young Adults Team are fortunate to have an office based in the incredible town of Huntingdon with easy access to local shops, restaurants and community facilities. The Young Adults Team support Adults 18-25yrs with a diagnosed learning disability who have an EHC Plan. We are looking for a dynamic, committed and passionate individual who is dedicated to improving the lives of young people, working alongside other professional colleagues to promote the principles of personalisation, encouraging independence, choice and opportunities for young people to develop their independence for adulthood. Occasional out of county travel may be required. We are a fun, friendly and supportive team who work together in a unique way to improve the lives of the young people we support.
