Air compressor engineer

Job Title: Air Compressor Engineer Location: Reading Salary: Up to £45,000 Duration: Permanent/Full-time Sector: Engineering The Opportunity: An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Air Compressor Engineer to join our team in Reading. This role is perfect for an engineer with expertise in air compressor systems who wants to work in a dynamic environment, focusing on both maintenance and installation. You will be responsible for ensuring the effective operation of various air compressor systems, providing a high level of service across a range of industrial and commercial clients. Responsibilities: * Servicing, maintaining, and repairing air compressor systems on client sites. * Diagnosing faults, troubleshooting issues, and performing necessary repairs. * Installing and commissioning new air compressor units and associated equipment. * Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to minimize system downtime. * Performing safety checks and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. * Providing technical advice and support to clients and the internal team. * Maintaining accurate service records and completing detailed reports. * Liaising with clients to ensure excellent service delivery and customer satisfaction. Skills and Qualifications: * Proven experience as an Air Compressor Engineer or similar role in the field. * Strong understanding of air compressor systems, pneumatic equipment, and controls. * Relevant qualifications in mechanical or electrical engineering (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent). * Ability to read technical drawings and manuals. * Good problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering high-quality service. * Knowledge of health and safety standards relating to air compressor systems. * Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently. * Full UK driving licence. * DV vetted or SC clearance (not essential) The Offer: * Competitive salary of up to £45,000 per annum. * Opportunities for ongoing training and career development. * Pension scheme and other benefits. * Every second Friday off (this does not affect your salary) * Interested?
