Field Service Engineer

Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated On-the-Road Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing and maintaining our rental ovens at various sites. This role requires frequent travel, offering a dynamic work environment. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with excellent technical skills and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform scheduled maintenance, servicing, and repairs of ovens at various client locations.
• Diagnose technical issues on-site, ensuring prompt resolution and minimal downtime.
• Install, configure, and calibrate new Combi Oven Rentals.
• Liaise with office staff to ensure accurate communication with customers.
• Maintain inventory of tools, spare parts, and consumables.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a field service engineer, on-the-road engineer, or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and customer service abilities.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Full UK driving license is required.

Desirable:

• Vocational qualifications in engineering (mechanical, electrical, electronics) or a related field.
• Certifications in relevant technical areas (e.g. NVQ level 2 or above in an electrical discipline / 18th Edition BS7671).
• Previous experience working with specific equipment/industry is advantageous.
