Pay Rate: 14.10 per hour
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off

Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Materials Handler to join our team in the recycling and refuse industry in Sevenoaks. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating materials handling equipment to move, sort, and manage recyclable materials, ensuring smooth and efficient operations at our facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate materials handling equipment such as forklifts, telehandlers, or other machinery to move recyclable and refuse materials.
• Load and unload materials from trucks and transfer materials within the facility.
• Sort and manage recyclable materials, ensuring they are stored in the correct locations.
• Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance of equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of materials moved and ensure compliance with company procedures.
• Work closely with team members to meet operational targets and maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
• Follow all health, safety, and environmental regulations specific to the recycling and waste management industry.

Requirements:

• Valid Materials Handler ticket (required).
• Previous experience in materials handling within the recycling or waste management industry is highly desirable.
• Understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations in the recycling and refuse sector.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, with exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Good time management and attention to detail.
