The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Power BI and extensive experience in developing data warehouses. As a Senior BI Developer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust BI solutions on the Azure platform, ensuring data accuracy, and delivering actionable insights to drive business growth. Key Accountabilities: · Develop and maintain data warehouses on the Azure platform, ensuring optimal performance and scalability. · Design, develop, and deploy end-to-end Power BI solutions, including data modelling, report creation, and dashboard development. · Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand and gather requirements for BI solutions. · Transform complex data into actionable insights, implementing best practices for data visualization and analytics. · Develop ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into the data warehouse. · Work closely with data engineers to optimize data extraction, transformation, and loading processes. · Develop and maintain data quality processes to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity. · Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in BI development, power BI, and Azure services. · Conduct performance optimization, tuning, and troubleshooting of BI solutions. · Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project implementation and timely delivery. What you’ll need: · A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. · Minimum 5 years of experience in developing BI solutions, with expertise in Power BI and Azure services. · Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, including data modelling, ETL/ELT processes, and dimensional modelling. · Experience in developing and maintaining data warehouses on the Azure platform, using technologies such as Azure SQL Data Warehouse, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, etc. · Proficient in Power BI development, including data modelling, report creation, and dashboard development. · A strong understanding of DAX functions and expressions to derive valuable insights. · Proficiency in Power Query is essential for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) operations. Power Query allows developers to connect to various data sources, perform data cleansing, and shape the data for reporting purposes. · Strong SQL skills and experience with SQL Server, Azure SQL or similar databases. · Experience working with business stakeholders to gather and understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions. · Familiarity with data visualization best practices and a keen eye for creating visually appealing and insightful dashboards. · Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues. · Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment. · Azure certifications (e.g., DP-200, DP-201, DA-100) will be a plus.
