Teaching Assistant

We are currently seeking a full time Teaching Assistant for a mainstream Secondary school based in Bournemouth. This is for a full time, permanent position starting as soon as possible. You must have experience within an education setting to be considered, preferably with SEND children. Term time only (8:30 – 15:30). £85 a day. Monday – Friday. To be successful in this role, you should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be patient and empathetic, and have a genuine passion for education. A Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable, but not essential. If you are successful, one of our specialist recruitment consultants will arrange a time to call you to go through a registration and explain our vetting process, this will include an interview, DBS application and providing further information on references and career history. Key Responsibilities: Work with and support pupils who require additional support. Help pupils to develop into independent learners to ensure they make good progress with their learning, as well as emotional well-being. Support pupils to access tasks and activities that they find challenging. Provide one to one or small group support to students with diverse learning needs. Assist the Teacher in implementing lesson plans and adapting materials. Support and work with teacher in testing/assessment.
