In this role, we are looking for the very best, someone capable of creating and innovating memorable loungewear collections while recognising commerciality is at the heart of Lyle & Scott in our mission for ‘every person in the world to own a piece of Lyle & Scott proudly.’
While you will not directly manage a team, you will work with a dedicated cross-functional support team that will require your guidance and support.
Summary of Role Responsibility:
- Support the Business Development Lead in establishing the theme and creative direction for each season's loungewear collections.
- Responsible for meeting the key milestones in the critical path of product development, both seasonally and overall, for the company.
- Responsible for ensuring the product has a good balance of creativity and commerciality.
- Able to work cross-functionally with the Design team to align all loungewear collections with the mainstream range while developing a specific product for the target audience.
Brief Overview of Accountabilities:
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the Lyle & Scott customers to ensure all loungewear designs and ranges meet their needs and are fit for function.
- Work closely with the product development team to ensure the loungewear ranges are commercially viable, actively supporting the team in resolving any issues with margin or quality.
- Actively participate in market research and competitor awareness to understand and incorporate fashion, style, cultural, and innovation trends that can inform the ranges.
- Work with the Business Development Lead and the other design teams to ensure that ranges are handed over in amazing, engaging, commercially relevant ways such that all other areas of the business needing to understand the ranges are engaged, enthused and able to pick up the baton and run with the ranges.
