Study Advisor Are you educated to A level or equivalent? Do you have experience of agreeing personal targets with young people and supporting their attainment? Do you have the confidence to interact with and motivate young adults and to develop effective, positive relationships? If you have answered yes to these questions then this could be the perfect role for you. Blackpool Sixth is an outstanding college specialising in 16-19 education, we have an exciting opportunity for a number of Study Advisors to join our team. We currently have two part-time posts available which are staff term time only. Based in the Learning Resources and Careers department you will work to ensure excellent service to students, providing support for their independent learning and study skills. Strong communication skills are an absolute must, along with a proactive and flexible approach. A day in Learning Resources could see you: * Inspire students to achieve their full potential; * Lead workshops with small groups of students to improve study skills; * Liaise with other departments to provide literacy support for students; * Create study skills materials and resources for use online or in workshop settings; * Provide excellent customer service to those who used the area and its resources.
