Director of Risk and Internal Audit – Permanent Role The role will be Hybrid working with travel to Group Support Lichfield An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Director of Risk and Audit to lead the development and delivery of the Group’s risk management and assurance framework. Voyage Care has recently completed its planned transition to a new senior leadership team and is in the process of refreshing  its strategic plans and objectives. You will be responsible for developing and delivering a robust Risk Management framework and Internal Audit plan to support our purpose of delivering great care and commercial success and delivery against the strategic plan. What you’ll get to do: The purpose of this role is to work collaboratively with senior stakeholders, including the Board, Audit Committee, Executive Team and Senior Leadership Team, to develop and deliver the Group’s risk and assurance framework and internal audit approach. We are seeking an experienced Director with a track record of collaborative partnership working and delivering tangible outcomes through influence and relationship management. You will be accountable for: Managing and continuing to develop the Group risk framework, risk management and reporting process collating input from Senior Management and Board members and ensuring alignment with the Group’s strategic objectives. Obtaining approval for improvements to the risk framework from the Audit committee and Board Reporting to Senior Management and the Board on risk and risk management in the Group Developing and delivering a risk-based audit plan, with an initial emphasis on financial controls Defining and agreeing the Group’s long-term approach to Risk and Internal Audit Developing the in-house or co-sourced function, define necessary roles, and manage co-source provider selection Delivering selected audits of high-risk areas as agreed with Audit Committee Maintaining and enhancing the audit approach, procedures and reporting protocols. Managing a current team of two Personal Finance Audit Managers Advising colleagues on design of procedural controls on an ad hoc basis.Role Specific Requirements: What Voyage Care would like from you: Accountancy or Audit qualification Degree level or equivalent experience Evidence of continuous professional development A track record of successfully operating as a Risk and Audit Director working with Senior Management and the Board in a complex organisation Evidence of successfully developing and implementing Risk Management and Internal audit Frameworks Good awareness and understanding of how risk and audit complement the operation of a business and can be harnessed to support high quality and commercial success. Extensive experience of completing risk and controls-based audits Well-developed written, presentational and verbal communication skills. Experience of leading and managing teams Willingness to work with a hybrid approach, attending the office as required Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise accordingly.
