Vehicle Technician

Job Title: Vehicle Technician / Mechanic Location: Nottingham Salary: £30,000 to £35,000 (dependent on experience) Working Hours: 08:00 to 17:30, Monday to Friday, with 1 in 2 Saturdays (08:00 to 13:00) Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent About Us: Alecto Recruitment are in a working partnership with a well-established Independent Garage, known for its commitment to quality vehicle repairs and servicing. They are looking for a motivated and skilled Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to join their growing team. Job Description: As a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing diagnostics, repairs, and servicing of a wide variety of vehicles. You will work in a busy yet friendly and supportive environment, ensuring all jobs are completed efficiently and to a high standard. Key Responsibilities: Perform diagnostics, repairs, and routine maintenance on all types of vehicles. Ensure all work meets safety standards and is completed efficiently. Provide clear communication to customers about vehicle issues and repair needs. Collaborate with the team to manage the daily workflow of the workshop. Stay up to date with the latest vehicle technologies, especially in hybrid and electric models.Key Requirements: NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent). Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within an independent garage setting. Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills. Experience with hybrid and electric vehicles is advantageous. Full UK driving licence. Ability to work as part of a team and independently when required. Customer-focused attitude with excellent communication skills.Benefits: Competitive salary of £30,000 to £35,000 based on experience.
