Structural Engineer

Structural Engineer- Manchester City Centre Vertical Recruitment are working closely with a leading Manchester civil, structural, and Geotechnical consultancy. Their projects range in value from £100 million to £50,000; from new build commissions through to major building refurbishments and restorations. Their experience and delivery cover various sectors including, offices, residential, historic, education, health, tall buildings, retail/leisure, sports stadia, industrial, bridges, hotels, and master planning. They are based in Manchester city, their large team of qualified engineers have developed well established local relationships with third parties, which in turn adds value to their projects. They pride themselves on the prestigious projects they are working on or have delivered and are committed to collaborative working with their peers, the wider design team and most of all their clients. They have a vacancy for a Structural Engineer to assist with the preparation and delivery of Structural Engineering designs, the successful candidate will work under the direction of a Structural Associate and Partner and will be responsible for producing and managing information for our clients. Role - The role would suit an experienced engineer with 2-4 years’ experience of UK codes and Building Regulations looking to progress their career. Full support will be provided to achieve their potential within a supportive and friendly environment. Key Responsibilities and attributes will include: Key Skills: * Providing detailed technical input and ensuring quality of work output on projects requiring Detailed Structural Engineering Design. * Experience in a range of relevant analytical software packages, 3D modelling, Masterseries software is preferable but not essential. * Work to Eurocodes Conversant in proprietary software e.g Masterseries, Excel. * Recent experience of detailed design for a variety of Structural Projects. * Ability to manage time and work to deadlines. * Excellent interpersonal, oral and written English communication skills. * Ability to use experience from other projects. * Commitment to producing high quality work. * Commitment to continuous professional development. * Working towards Chartership of the Institution of Structural Engineers. Educution - Minimum BEng, MEng or MSc in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
