Senior Product Engineer

We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills and at least 5 years of experience in engineering and/or similar role(s).If this sounds like you, apply now!   Responsibilities To be an integral part of the Engineering team ensuring our products are delivered on time, to specification and within budget and to the best DFMA principles Providing manufacturing engineering support for the design and development team Lead and contribute to projects that reduce costs and improve and maintain qualitYProduct Development: Ensure products are delivered on time, to specification and within budget. Improve and maintain quality Cost Reduction: Identify cost-out opportunities, support sourcing and actively take part in in/outsourcing projects to improve profitability Technical Innovation and Competitive Position: Keep up to date with technical innovation in the UHV & Manufacturing areas Engineering Changes: Support the engineering change system in a timely and controlled manner, ensure up to date drawings are available Custom Design: Provide engineering support for quotations and technical enquiries Quality: Identify and deliver on opportunities to improve quality through redesign/production engineering People and Budget: Assist in providing data on metrics for display publicly, provide any technical support to other team members Communication: Ensure that the team is aware of the best current practices for DFM, Ensure that drawing numbers are allocated correctly and that the registers are maintained   Essential Skills and Experience Outgoing energetic personality Well organised and structured Passion for people and technology English fluencyDesirable Skills and Experience 5+ years in similar role(s) Experience in Microsoft tools Ability to lead small teamsEssential Qualifications HNC/D in Mechanical and Production Engineering Mechanical Engineering DegreeYour qualities Good communicator across all engineering disciplines and levels of ability Able to manage own time effectively Ability to mentor other engineers  If you know someone suitable for this role, share the word and through our referral scheme receive up to £250! for full details on all Permanent, Temporary and Contract career opportunities we are actively seeking candidates for.
