About the Role
What You Can Expect
- Location – Leeds
- Salary - £35,000
- Work Type – Permanent
Responsibilities
- Engage with clients on-site to understand their specific requirements.
- Produce design drawings for quotation purposes.
- Develop detailed drawings for manufacturing.
- Collaborate with estimators and sales teams to ensure designs stay within budget.
- Design cost-effective solutions using standard components and efficient manufacturing techniques.
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships by providing exceptional value and service.
- Identify and pursue additional opportunities within existing client relationships.
Qualifications
Core Experience, Qualifications, and Skills
- Strong mechanical engineering background with relevant design experience and qualifications.
- Ability to hand sketch and measure accurately on-site.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software.
- Capacity to learn on the job and apply new skills effectively.
- Excellent time management skills to optimize daily productivity.
- Flexible and proactive approach to ensure project completion.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with internal teams and clients.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and initiative.
- Solid verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficient in IT.
- Full driving license.
- Willingness to travel and work away from home as required.
