Position Details: * Job Title: Science Teacher * Contract: Term to Perm * Full/Part Time: Full Time * Rate: £140 - £220 per day (DOE) * Hours: 8:30 am – 3:30/4:00 pm Responsibilities Include: * Design and deliver engaging lessons in science, utilizing experiments and demonstrations to illustrate key concepts. * Foster a laboratory environment where students can conduct experiments safely and effectively, encouraging hands-on learning. * Develop assessment strategies that include practical evaluations, project-based learning, and traditional tests to measure student understanding. * Integrate real-world applications of scientific principles, helping students connect classroom learning to everyday life. * Guide students in research projects and investigations, promoting critical thinking and scientific inquiry. * Stay updated with the latest developments in science education and incorporate innovative teaching practices into the curriculum. To be considered for this role, you must possess the following: * Valid RIGHT TO WORK in the UK * Enhanced DBS on the update service * Two professional references Qualifications and Skills: * A degree in a scientific field (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Physics) or a closely related area. * Experience teaching science at the secondary level with a proven track record of student engagement. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively connect with students. * Knowledge of current curriculum guidelines and assessment methods. * A proactive and innovative approach to classroom management and lesson delivery. * Familiarity with incorporating technology to enhance student learning experiences. * A commitment to professional growth and the implementation of new teaching strategies.
