Job Opportunity: School Caretaker ?? A secondary school in Eccles is looking to appoint a reliable and dedicated School Caretaker to join our team, starting 4th November 2024. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who takes pride in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. ?? Position: School Caretaker ?? Start Date: 4th November 2024 ? Hours: 36 hours per week, all year round (Please note: Hours may be adjusted to meet the needs of the school, including holiday cover and school events) ?? Contract: Temporary (with potential to become permanent for the right candidate) ?? Role Overview: As a School Caretaker, you will be responsible for ensuring that the school is well-maintained, clean, safe, and secure at all times. You will perform a variety of tasks to support the smooth day-to-day running of the school, including: General maintenance and repairs across the school premises Ensuring the safety and security of the building and grounds Opening and closing the school, including for out-of-hours events Supporting school events and holiday cover by adapting your hours when necessary Maintaining cleanliness and performing routine inspections of facilities Liaising with contractors and ensuring health and safety regulations are followed ?? Requirements: We are looking for candidates who possess: Previous experience in a caretaker or maintenance role (preferably in a school or similar environment) Good understanding of health and safety regulations and procedures Basic skills in building repairs and maintenance Flexibility to adapt to changing work schedules and the ability to work under minimal supervision Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with staff and contractors A proactive attitude towards keeping the school environment clean, safe, and welcoming ??
