The Commercial Asset Manager will be responsible for the commercial management and optimisation of our battery storage assets. This role involves overseeing the financial performance, contractual obligations, and strategic initiatives to maximize the value of our assets. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in asset management, energy markets, and financial analysis. This role report to the Director of Technology & Operations and will work closely with the Technical Asset team and the respective; investment, finance, strategy and execution teams. Asset Management: Oversee the day-to-day commercial operations of battery storage assets, ensuring optimal profitability. Financial Analysis: Conduct detailed financial analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support decision-making across revenue and OPEX. Contract Management: Manage and negotiate contracts with stakeholders, including off-takers, suppliers, and service providers. Prepare and present regular commercial reports to senior management and investors. Strategic Planning: To support the development of strategies to enhance asset value, including revenue optimisation and cost management initiatives. Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and company policies. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with asset operations and market conditions. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in asset management, preferably in the energy sector. Excellent analytical skills (financial modelling a plus) Proven experience in contract negotiation and management. Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., MS Excel, Python, Power BI).
