Our client, a reputable manufacturing company, is seeking an Inventory Planner to join their team and play a crucial role in optimising their supply chain operations. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, have strong analytical skills, and possess a keen eye for detail, we want to hear from you! Please note this role is initially on a 6 month contract but may lead to other opportunities or a permanent position within the company.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate, analyse and manage the movement of goods
Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as production planning, purchasing, quality and warehouse teams to forecast demand and plan inventory levels accordingly
Develop inventory strategies to support sales goals while minimising excess stock and maximising turnover
Analyse data to optimise inventory allocation and replenishment, ensuring optimal product availability
Continuously evaluate and improve inventory management processes and systemsRequirements:
Proven experience as an Inventory Planner, Demand Planner, or similar role
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make sound business decisions
Proficiency in inventory management software (SAP or ERP platform would be an advantage) and strong Excel skills
Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build effective relationships
Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precision
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work autonomously in a fast-paced environment

Hours of work are 8.30am - 4.30pm Monday to Friday (37.5) with a degree of start/finish time flexibility. The role will be mainly on-site due to the onboarding process, however, there may be the opportunity later on to work remotely on occasion. Immediate start.
