The vacancy We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Higher Education Lecturer to join our Digital Technologies team at both University Campus North Lincolnshire (UCNL) and University Campus Doncaster (UCDon). This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of digital technologies education in our region by delivering innovative, high-quality teaching and supporting student success across a range of programmes. The Role As a Lecturer in Digital Technologies, you will be responsible for teaching, curriculum development, and providing academic support to students at Levels 4 and 5 in areas such as Software Development, Cyber Security, and Data Analytics. The role requires collaboration across UCNL and UCDon to enhance teaching approaches, support student engagement, and foster partnerships with external examiners and industry. Key duties will include: Delivering high-quality teaching in the Digital Technologies suite of programmes. Supporting students academically, including acting as an Academic Tutor. Participating in curriculum planning and module development. Collaborating on quality assurance processes and liaising with external examiners. Contributing to annual programme reports, data analysis, and student achievement metrics. Engaging in scholarly activity and supporting the wider pedagogical development of HE. Involvement in student engagement activities, including module evaluations and surveys. Actively contributing to HE promotion and student recruitment activities.Key Relationships The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders such as the Deputy Head of School for Science & Technology, the Director of the Institute of Technology & Higher Technical Education, and Heads of School. You will also liaise with external academic contacts, external examiners, and local business and education providers. About You We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a passion for teaching and a commitment to delivering an exceptional student experience. You should have expertise in Digital Technologies and a strong interest in developing creative and innovative teaching methods. Experience in teaching at the Higher Education level, as well as involvement in quality assurance processes, will be advantageous. Essential Skills and Experience: A degree or higher qualification in a relevant field. Previous experience in teaching or training in Digital Technologies, ideally at HE level. Expertise in one or more areas such as Software Development, Cyber Security, or Data Analytics. A strong commitment to student support and academic excellence. The ability to work collaboratively within a team and across departments.Desirable Skills and Experience: A teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one. Experience in curriculum development and quality assurance in Higher Education. Engagement with external stakeholders and local businesses to enhance student opportunities.This role is permanent, part time (15 hours per week, Tuesday & Wednesday across both campuses).
