Plant Operator

Astute’s Renewables team is proud to partner with a well-established business within the Anaerobic Digestion and Agricultural sector. They are looking for a motivated, hardworking individual to join them at their site in the Scunthorpe area. The Site/Plant Operator will be working a 4 on 4 off day shift pattern and be part of an on-call rota once trained.The Site/Plant Operator role comes with a salary of up to £30,000 depending on experience, impressive production bonus and excellent company benefits package.If you’re from an agricultural, forces leaver or similar processing background and are looking to work for an organisation that genuinely values their employees, then submit your CV to apply today.Responsibilities and dutiesReporting to the Plant Manager you will:Carrying out day to day operations of the renewable energy process plantUsing SCADA control systems to monitor the process (training provided)Carrying out general maintenance task such as changing and isolating a pump, greasing, oil and filter changesSupporting the biologist with carrying out analysis checks (training provided)Feeding fuel into the process using mobile plant such as telehandlersResponding to machine and systems failuresEnsuring adherence with health & safety at all timesBeing part of an on-call rota (once trained)Other duties as requiredProfessional qualificationsWe are looking for someone with the following:A relevant Engineering qualification/certificate would be an advantage but not essential.Telehandler or other plant tickets such as loading shovel, tractor ect, but not essentialPersonal skillsThe Site/Plant Operator role would suit someone who has:Experience working in a similar outdoor environmentSome basic first line maintenance experienceHas a genuine interest in working in the renewable energy sectorHas a good work ethic and has a desire to work as part of a supportive teamSalary and benefits of the Site/Plant Operator role:Up to £30,000 starting salary (depending on experience)Excellent production bonusUse of work vehicle when on call out rotaCompany mobile phoneTraining provided
