Programme/PMO Manager - Contractor


Job Title: Programme/PMO Manager

Location: Central London (2 days per week on average)

Contract Type: Inside IR35

Rate: Up to £595 per day


About the Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled Programme/PMO Manager to join a leading financial services organization known for its commitment to innovation and digital transformation. This role will be instrumental in managing and overseeing large-scale programmes, ensuring successful delivery and alignment with the company’s strategic objectives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Programme Leadership: Lead and manage complex programmes from inception to delivery, ensuring they meet scope, time, cost, and quality standards.
  • Governance and Reporting: Establish and maintain robust governance frameworks, providing clear and concise reporting to senior stakeholders on programme status, risks, and issues.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, fostering strong relationships and ensuring effective communication across all levels of the organization.
  • Resource and Budget Management: Oversee resource allocation, financial management, and vendor coordination to optimize programme performance and deliver value.
  • Risk and Issue Management: Proactively identify, assess, and manage risks and issues, implementing effective mitigation strategies to ensure programme success.


Required Skills and Experience:

  • Extensive Experience: Proven track record as a Programme/PMO Manager, ideally within a financial services or similarly regulated environment.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong expertise with Dynamics 365, PowerPlatform/PowerApps, and Salesforce.
  • Programme Management Expertise: Demonstrable experience in leading complex programmes with a solid understanding of project management methodologies and best practices.
  • Strategic Mindset: Ability to align programme delivery with business strategy, providing insights and recommendations to drive continuous improvement.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong ability to influence, negotiate, and engage with senior stakeholders across the organization.
